Serves as a Lead Veteran Experience Representative under the High Reliability Service at the Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC). This position provides administrative support and Veteran Experience Representative services at the LVAMC and Community Clinics. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties and patient/resident related duties including, screenings, new Veteran orientation processes, Get Well Network presentations, patient transports, and Veteran Experience initiatives.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
General Experience: You must have one year of general experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS 04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as coordinating patient care and administrative services in a medical facility/clinic; communicating and coordinating with patient/family members; utilizing software such as, Excel to collect, organize data, and maintain detailed records; and solving problems following established standards/requirements. (EXPERIENCE MUST BE DETAILED IN RESUME IN ORDER TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT)

Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have
4 years above High School
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the high school level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: Work is mostly completed in a sedentary position. It does entail stopping, bending, and reaching. There is some walking around the medical center. There are frequent occasions when assistance is needed in setting up classrooms, which could entail moving tables, largeeasel pads or flip charts.
