You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
You will advise personnel on military personnel programs (e.g., statutory selection boards, enlisted selection boards, officer and enlisted continuation).
You will interpret instructions and regulations regarding officer and enlisted advancement requirements.
You will monitor the operation and maintenance of military personnel data systems.
You will develop handbooks, checklists, tip sheets, standard operating procedures, or training to educate staff on the use of administrative directives and processes.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
1. Interprets policy and regulations to ensure compliance for military promotions/advancements.
2. Trains new personnel on current policy and procedures.
3. Researches program related issues to develop responses to inquiries.
4. Releases official correspondence to answer inquiries.
5. Manages personnel data systems for proper maintenance.
6. Delivers training to personnel on the capability of systems.
7. Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assist new personnel with procedures.
