About the Position: Incumbent performs a wide variety of administrative management duties under the general supervision of the Area Engineer.
Duties
Creates temporary duty travel (TOY) orders and vouchers, audit TOY and local travel vouchers.
Maintains supply records and schedules required inventories to maintain property accountability.
Answers telephone inquiries, transmits and receives electronic mail.
Maintains and submits Time and Attendance for staff. Obtains initials, signatures and supporting document support time and attendance entries.
Provides support for the development and monitoring of the Office training plan.
Analyzes budgetary records by evaluating trends, bringing discrepancies to the attention of the Area Engineer.
Serves as the primary point of contact in the Area Office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- Must be able to lift documents or packages up to 15 lbs.
- Proper safety protocols will be observed at all times, including the use of proper protective equipment.

For the Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation), GS-0303-07, resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service which includes performing administrative duties which include financial management systems, government credit card purchasing, supply management, timekeeping, data processing, project tracking and files management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
