As a Supervisory Architect, you will direct and coordinate the Capital Improvement design and construction program.Location of position: Public Buildings Service, San Francisco, CADesign and Construction Division is responsible for providing expertise and technical support for the planning, design, repair and alteration, modernization, build-to-suit leased facilities and federal building construction. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications

For specifics on qualifying education, training, and/or experience - use the following link: Basic Requirements for Architect Positions.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is professional architecture experience in the design of construction or alteration projects involving large and complex buildings or major building systems as well as coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary teams on such projects; OR project management experience in the design of construction or alternation projects of such buildings including balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget and the services of multiple disciplinary teams from project initiation through project closeout. Specialized experience includes developing and implementing policy, analyzing and monitoring programs or policies; presenting complex issues and providing recommendations to senior management; and developing and maintaining a system of management and internal controls. This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications. If selected, an official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
