About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties

Prepare internal policies, procedures and training manuals. Analyze new or modified automated systems to determine the impact. Conduct studies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of automated systems. Mentor personnel to facilitate learning of Logistics Management Program (LMP). Perform training in the technical field of automated systems as they relate to the depot Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). Analyze automated systems for data on information such as development, testing, and decisions to provide personnel with advice. Provide practical exercises, lectures, and other activities for automated systems such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to travel (TDY) 15% of the time for business purposes.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
  • Position requires successful completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) training within 3 years of appointment to position.
  • Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
  • Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
  • Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing automated system discrepancies for programs such as Logistics Modernization Programs (LMP); 2) conducting studies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of manual and automated systems; and 3) providing advice to personnel on the development and testing of the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceDatabase AdministrationProblem SolvingProcess Control Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
