Duties

Recommend alternative materials sources to alleviate work stoppages. Maintain parts consumption data for production based on consumption history. Use archived data to develop a depot overhaul factor for forecasting depot programs. Recommend schedule adjustment based on availability or non-availability of materials. Research technical data for areas such as manufacturing to ensure program requirements are met. Develop the program requirements for major overhaul maintenance parts such as aircrafts and engines. Analyze various reports (e.g., consumption reports and cost variance reports) utilizing logistics programs.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
• You may be expected to travel (TDY) in this position up to 10% of the time for business purposes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
