This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Serves as a technical expert regarding software support for IEWS systems in one or more IT functions such as software development, software testing, and evaluation, quality assurance.
Serves as a technical expert regarding software support for IEWS systems in one or more IT functions such as information security, information technology, requirements/threat analysis, systems engineering, and systems integration.
Applies expertise in the design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing software as well as software reprogramming.
Performs project and/or contract management duties.
Applies system architecture principles to develop and manage technical requirements and achieve the appropriate balance among resources, schedule, and technical requirements.
Prepares technical specifications, reports, and statements of work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Special Sensitive/High Risk, Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11).

Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing and analyzing software design and programming; 2) Providing information technology troubleshooting, assistance and guidance to customers; and 3) Performing contract management duties such as preparing procurement documentation, evaluating proposals, approving acquisition requests, monitoring contractor performance, etc.
