As a Executive Assistant at the GS-0301-11, you will be part of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, OPM Human Resources. If selected, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and support duties that are essential to the smooth, effective, and efficient operation of the OPM Human Resources.

Duties

Acts as a liaison and primary contact with other organizations, offices, entities, groups, or individuals, ensuring that decisions and information are shared with appropriate persons and offices, and prepares/coordinates recurring responses to senior management requests.

For the GS 11: You must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing ALL of the following: experience providing quality oversight of all administrative activities of an office (e.g. managing calendars, travel, routing and reviewing correspondence, office resources accountability, and overseeing records management); experience developing, coordinating, and disseminating administrative communication and work products; and experience receiving and routing visitors and telephone calls to appropriate audiences. Note: Your resume must fully support this experience. Or Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a directly related field of study (for example, human resources, business, public administration, management, social sciences) that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by this position. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be determined from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as equivalent to 1 year of full-time study. (Must submit official or unofficial transcripts with your application to verify eligibility.) Or A combination of education and experience to qualify at this level. To calculate your percentage of education, divide the number of graduate semester hours earned, in excess of 18 semester hours, by 18. If your education is in quarter hours, convert to semester hours by multiplying the number of quarter hours earned by 2/3rds. To calculate your percentage of experience, divide the number of months of full-time experience by 12. If your experience was part-time, convert to full-time by dividing the number of hours worked per week by 40 then multiply by number of months worked. Add the percentages. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. NOTE: A copy of your transcripts must be included with your application to support this response. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS11 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
