This position is in the Metering Services (MSM) organization, Customer Support Services (MS) organization, Chief Operating Officer (K), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The purpose of this position is to serve as a Public Utilities Specialist (Metering), accountable for providing timely and accurate revenue meter data for BPA's internal and external customers.
Duties
As a Public Utility Specialist (Metering), you will:
Serve as technical expert in the development of principles, policy and procedures for implementation of metering requirements.
Provide expert advice, support and guidance to Account Executives, Account Support teams and other internal and external customers on metering issues.
Provide workload planning for Meter Data Collection (MDC) operators and Metering Technicians, focused on cross-functional meter data issue identification.
Research data transfer problems between MDC, Meter Data Management (MDM) and various other systems.
Act as liaison between Metering Services and other business units.
Work with IT to evaluate impending or potential disruptions and make appropriate arrangements to minimize production down time.
Support the development and maintenance documentation of system architecture.
Participate in implementing and modifying business continuity and disaster recovery procedures as they are developed.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience in 1) meter data validation and interpretation according to industry policies and standards, 2) planning, and leading projects which include data analysis, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues regarding meter data reporting, and 3) providing planning and support to seek continuous improvements with metering data systems, processes and procedures.
