This position is located at the Bureau of Fiscal Service, Deputy Commissioner Financing and Operations, Associate Commissioner Financial Operations/Revenue Collections Management, Tax Collections Strategy and Operations Division, Branch as Assigned. As a Supervisory Financial Programs Specialist, you will manage all facets of an assigned program.

Duties

As a Supervisory Financial Programs Specialist, you will: - Provide direction, advice and guidance to RCM program areas to build, maintain, enhance, and operate collection channels, gateways, and programs. - Provide program leadership; establish goals, objectives and criteria for the specialty area; and advise higher-level management on the status of work and program accomplishments. - Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities including: planning and assigning work, establishing performance standards and conducting performance evaluation, and improving productivity of the work unit.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience applying a wide range of concepts, principles and practices in the revenue and remittance processing field in order to manage a government-wide revenue and remittance collections program. Examples of this experience could include: - Experience providing direction, advice, and guidance to build, maintain, enhance, and operate revenue collection programs; OR - Experience working with agency customers to establish and improve working relationships to provide guidance and resolve problems; OR - Utilizing human-centered design CX approaches to aid in enhancing service delivery and improve customer experience. Examples of these design approaches could be but are not limited to research methodologies, experience design, rapid-prototyping, usability testing, and design operations; OR - Experience applying a wide range of concepts, principles and practices in the Financial Technology field to assess products, emerging technology, systems, and processes that will enhance an organization's ability to achieve its strategic goals. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
