This position is located in the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA), Executive Office(EO). The Director, DTSA is the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense, through the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (USDP) on DoD technology security efforts and policy matters relating to the international transfer of sensitive technologies.
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Executes the Director's Risk Management Internal Control to include planning, scheduling, development of DTSA's Annual Statements of Assurance, validation of internal control checklists and feeder statements of assurance for all subordinate Assessable Units.
Plans, directs, integrates, and executes all aspects of special projects within cost, schedule, performance and or system supportability requirements for the Executive Office.
Assist the Executive Office in accomplishing all necessary internal operations to include administrative training, security, development of organizational operating instructions and regulations and personnel assistance.
Provides administrative support to the DTSA front office in range of programs that also includes ensuring program compliance with regulations laws, policies and various directives.
Reviews and analyzes internal regulations, directives, policy, memoranda, and upper echelon guidance to assess applicability and impact to the mission and current business model.

- Position has been designated as Top Secret, Special Sensitive/High Risk level. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

- This position may require occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft.
- The incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and/or overtime.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience planning and conducting audits; providing administrative support for an office; reviewing and analyzing regulations and/or policies and providing recommendations.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing competencies are required.

Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GS-12 grade level.
