About the Position: Serves as a Human Resource (HR) Specialist performing operational assignments in the AMC Civilian Human Resources Servicing Center.

Duties

Serves as a senior Human Resources Specialist performing operational assignments in a Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC). Applies the full range of human resources methods, principles, practices, and evaluative methodologies to advise on personnel matters. Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers. Advises managers on recruitment strategies, sources, special programs, relation, and retention incentive programs. Provides guidance on merit system principles and prohibited personnel practices. Inputs and retrieves data from automated personnel systems such as: DCPDS, FASCLASS, EMPReS.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to serve a one year probationary period.
  • Position requires a Basic Background Investigation.

Utilizing evaluative methods to resolve civilian human resources issues; 4. Developing various civilian human resources products such as job analyses, vacancy announcements, referral lists, and coding personnel actions. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: HR Information Systems ApplicationOral CommunicationStaffing and RecruitingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
