You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Maritime Allowance and Outfitting Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS

Duties

You will serve as a General Supply Specialist which performs a variety of analytical supply functions to assist with reviewing, planning, and publishing of Maritime Afloat and Ashore Retail Allowance products. You will analyze and evaluate critical data elements used in the development of each retail allowance product and ensure the accurate adjustment of allowances are promulgated. You will recommend/Implement appropriate program and policy changes and actions with analysis of alternatives, providing higher level management briefs and presentations on a variety of departmental issues. You will serve as a SME for all allowance product extract and special processing activities related to producing Retail Afloat/Ashore Allowance products, Readiness Based Spares Modeling, and additional research projects. You will analyze and evaluate critical logistics and supply support information prior to distribution to the customer. This will generally require evaluation of a project to determine impact and finalize actual testing of project data. You will review, analyze, and reconcile discrepancies and determine the source and basis of the discrepancy to facilitate the computation of accurate allowance support for a specific activity.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-12 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Statistical Analytical Software (SAS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to maintain maritime Retail Afloat and Ashore Allowances; 2) Analyzing the supply system of customer demand, fleet and/or weapon system supportability, procurement, receipt, and issue using analytical skills and metric reporting; 3) Researching and analyzing allowance inquiries by routinely importing and exporting various files using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, etc.); 4) Supporting customers through communicating and problem solving with a strong understanding of maritime allowancing, and associated programs, procedures, and products; 5) Planning, coordinating and organizing assigned workload by developing long/ short range plans for the development of policies and operations; 6) Interpreting policies on own initiative in terms of established objectives and directing the work of others on team efforts if necessary. To qualify for the GS-11 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Statistical Analytical Software (SAS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to maintain maritime Retail Afloat and Ashore Allowances; 2) Analyzing the supply system of customer demand, fleet and/or weapon system supportability, procurement, receipt, and issue using analytical skills and metric reporting; 3) Researching and analyzing allowance inquiries by routinely importing and exporting various files using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, etc.); 4) Supporting customers through communicating and problem solving with a strong understanding of maritime allowancing, and associated programs, procedures, and products. GS-11 EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION:

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 level with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
