This position is located in the ARNG State Area Command Headquarters, Plans, Operations and Military Support Branch of the Plans, Operations and Training Office (POTO). Located on Camp Mabry in Austin, TX. The purpose of the position is to serve as a Plans and Operations Specialist, develop plans, coordinate preparations for state active duty and the operational employment of ARNG military resources. Acts on behalf of POMSO during absences.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience Required:
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting at least I have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.

I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience that may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified. (Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11.
Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of 1 month of education for two months of specialized experience.
