About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin NAF Accounting Office.
Duties
Directs, develops and performs logistic management operations for the overall support of the 96th Force Support Squadron, including Facility Management; Real Property Management; Vehicle Operations; Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Compliance and Management Program (ESOCAMP); Long Range Capital Improvement Program (LRCIP). Supervises a maintenance team workforce performing facility maintenance, motor vehicle operations, gardening and ground maintenance duties for 96 FSS. Requests personnel actions to fill vacancies and requests for promotion, separation, reassignments, awards and other personnel requirements. Independently interviews and selects job applicants for vacant positions. Counsels employees on job performance, initiates dismissal of personnel if required. Observes and evaluates employee performance. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Hears and resolves complaints.
Analyzes squadron mission, goals, process, and procedures and participates in strategic planning to facilitate efficiencies and increase mission capabilities. Provides management advisory services to senior leadership and activity managers on routine and complex issues pertaining to appropriate utilization of 96 FSS resources and recommends actions to achieve desired results. Responsible for planning, programming, and processing a wide variety of documents related to work request to Base Civil Engineer. Evaluates contract programs and develops plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of 96 FSS facilities including utility systems and equipment installation. Performs the preliminary programming for the accomplishment of operations and maintenance, conducts site/facility surveys to gather preliminary information and validate requirements, to include studies and economic analyses of new proposals to determine feasibility of renovation or modification versus new construction to meet requirement and to determine if there are funding/scheduling conflicts. Develops and implements plans for accountability and disposition of all appropriated funded (APF) and nonappropriated funded (NAF) property. Responsible for accountability of APF and NAF property for all 96 FSS activities and ensures updated records are maintained. Serves as liaison between 96 FSS and 96 LRS to ensure all equipment custodians have completed training. Prepares shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems. Ensures that supplies, food, and equipment are safeguarded and secure at all times. Monitors transfer and issue of stock and proper disposal of outdated or spoiled inventory. Maintains a perpetual inventory system to track and monitor regular and high-value inventory. Serves as the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) and is responsible for management of and maintenance oversight of the 96 FSS vehicle fleet. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicants must have experience which required planning, organizing and directing work of an operation with diverse functions. Experience must be at a level which demonstrates ability to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities described above.
Applicant must also have experience in purchasing, accounting and storage of supplies, retail sale/perishable inventory, inventory management; acquisition, accountability and disposition of property/facilities; and experience in vehicle management/operations.
Knowledge of administrative procedures of processing work orders/requests and other documentation pertaining to APF & NAF projects is desirable. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Successful completion of a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation is required.
