Duties
This position supports the F-35 Joint Program Office Security Directorate. The incumbent is the Security Operations Manager for this unique Joint Program Office in Arlington, VA and is the task lead for a team of contractor collateral and SAP security specialists supporting the mission.
This position supports a unique Joint Program Office to provide guidance and management of highly classified program elements and requires maintaining effective security support across multiple disciplines, to include Collateral, SAP, Industrial, SCI, and Program Protection for US, Partners and FMS capabilities.
Duties for this position typically include:
Serves as the technical authority in conducting the Information Security Program protection the program office and information handled at all program operating locations from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to the program office's interests, national defense or national security.
Responsible for information protection risk assessments and risk management/mitigation strategies/recommendations based on intelligence-derived threat issues that require deviations from or synthesis of policies that can have national implications.
Serves as the security program manager and as a recognized technical authority on Information Protection issues.
Plans, organizes, and directs the program protection planning actives of the program, its facilities and weapon systems at contractor and other government locations ensuring that all elements of protection complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs throughout the program.

- The employee is required to obtain and maintain security clearance commensurate with position sensitivity code.

- This is designated Drug Testing Position
- This is a non-supervisory position. However, the incumbent does lead multiple security contractors in executing mission requirements.

- Full/part-time employees occupying direct childcare positions are eligible for discounts IAW DAF AFSVC/CC Memo, 30 Sep 22; first child 100% / each additional child 25%. Other assigned CYP and FCC personnel are eligible for 25% discount.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

- DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Cert and Security Program Integration Professional Cert conferrals are required within 2 years of EOD or initial assignment to this position IAW DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification

- This certification requirement only applies to employees assigned to an indexed CPD or SCPD position on or after 14 March 2016. Incumbent employees assigned on or before 13 March 2016 are not required to obtain the DoD certification(s) listed above.
