This position is in the Division of Information Technology (DIT), Office of the General Manager (OGM), Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, and located in Washington, DC. The Division of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the information technology functions that support the mission of the DNFSB.
The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Q level (Top Secret) security clearance to perform duties.
Duties
Develops high level plans, techniques, and measurable objectives to improve the development of cybersecurity and privacy measures and practices in meeting goals and objectives of the agency and to protect sensitive information. Make decisions that are data driven and recommend solutions that measure cybersecurity and privacy protection performance.
Requirements

- Will be required to complete background investigation and drug screening.

- Time-in-Grade: Current or former Federal employees applying under Merit Promotion considerations must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements for consideration.
Qualifications
GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year at the GS-12 is required to meet the time-in-grade for the GS-13 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience includes:
Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publications (e.g., NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 4) and Federal Information Processing Standards.
Knowledge and experience in the hands-on performance of Penetration Testing activities and performs exploits on discovered vulnerabilities.
Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to internal/external customers based on the needs of the targeted audience orally and in writing, and
Skill in conducting information system security audits/assessments in accordance with Federal or State requirements.
Time-in-Grade Requirements: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. DO NOT submit Award SF-50's; Award SF-50's will not be accepted).
