Duties
As a OPERATIONS AND STRATEGIC INTEGRATOR at the GS-0301-14/15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
The Operations and Strategic Integrator serves as the advisor to the Director, OB on all matters related to the directorate's strategic and operational capabilities, technical and programmatic areas related to training, planning, equipping, conducting arms control missions to include treaty inspections and escort procedures, and CWMD nonproliferation/counterproliferation operations.
Devises ways and means to operationalize and implement strategy as well as devising new and improved methodologies applicable to the specific needs of the Agency and requirements of its customers.
Conducts and/or leads organizational program reviews, evaluations, and/or assessments and studies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improving the directorate's mission.
Analyzes and evaluates the impact and significance of broad directives prescribed by OSD, DoD, Joint Staff, and DTRA, including the National Defense Strategy (NDS), Defense Planning Guidance (DPG), and U.S. Nuclear Posture Review, new or revised policies, procedures, or program requirements and new, proposed, or delayed programmatic issues relating to arms control operations, confidence and security building, nonproliferation treaties, agreements, and programs, and building partner capacity.
Ensures OB equities are accurately reflected within Agency-level guiding documents. Synchronizes the use of shared resources; creates transparency in information sharing that; develops and promulgates a strategic messaging plan to ensure a uniform understanding of the directorate's contribution to DTRA's mission; and creates a set of standardized products that captures and promotes the operational effects created by staff.

- Travel in the performance of temporary assignments may be required up to 20% of duty time per year (CONUS/OCONUS). The employee must be willing to comply with each Combatant Command (COCOM) travel medical requirement to include vaccinations.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Expert knowledge of arms control treaty inspection and escort procedures as well as national and DoD CWMD policy and doctrine and the NSC interagency processes, and;
Ability and expertise to communicate orally and in writing in order to formulate and present authoritative arms control and CWMD policy, strategies, plans, operations, and mission briefs to senior level USG and partner country representatives.
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Expert knowledge of OSD, JCS, CCMD and interagency roles in relation to both arms control and CWMD missions and functional responsibilities in order to provide responsive, interdisciplinary expert analysis in arms control and CWMD policy forums representing DTRA, and;
Expert knowledge of CBRN programs, precursors, weapons, proliferation networks, employment, and CBRN response requirements in order to foster cooperation with DoD, USG, and partner country representatives.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
