You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Transactional Service Centers (TSC) of TSC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will provide financial oversight, advice and guidance to all customers and staff on audit readiness, financial accountability and travel claim liquidation processes.
You will prepare and conduct briefings and presentations to leadership on financial and fiscal systems.
You will manage departmental personnel staffing functions and workflow processes for organizational effectiveness.
You will execute internal controls and provide program risk assessments to leadership within the fiscal network.
You will evaluate, analyze, and interpret new or revised disbursing processes for areas for improvement.
You will conduct independent studies of complex and diversified information, on accounting and financial systems or system components for process changes and audit readiness.
You will establish departmental objectives, goals, and priorities for organizational success.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing financial oversight, advice and guidance to all customers and staff on audit readiness, financial accountability and travel claim liquidation processes. 2) Preparing and conducting briefings and presentations to leadership on financial and fiscal systems. 3) Managing departmental personnel staffing functions and workflow processes for organizational effectiveness.4) Executing internal controls and provide program risk assessments to leadership within the fiscal network. 5) Evaluating, analyze, and interpret new or revised disbursing processes for areas for improvement. 6) Conducting independent studies of complex and diversified information, on accounting and financial systems or system components for process changes and audit readiness. 7) Establishing departmental objectives, goals, and priorities for organizational success.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
