This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO. This position serves as the Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Treasury Operations and serves as both confidant and chief aide to the DAS. The incumbent has significant responsibility and influence, providing leadership and direction in the analysis and evaluation of programs and operations of the many offices and branches within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Treasury Operations.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst (Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Treasury Operations), you will:
Serve as principal advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) on all administration and operational matters involving Treasury Operations including planning, budget and acquisition, human resources, and program management.
Provide senior staff support, assistance, and authoritative advice to the DAS on issues relating to short- and long-range objectives of the DAS for Treasury Operations organizations.
Consult with the DAS on internal matters and independently resolves administrative/resource management issues.
Track progress of programs including performance metrics, resolve problem issues, assure completion of assignments in keeping with the DAS guidance and present the views and opinions of the DAS on administrative management and office policy issues.
Treasury Operations is comprised of four operational divisions which consist of Facilities Services (property management, engineering, and curatorial services), Support Services (events and culinary operations, communications and document services, and logistical services), Safety, Health, and Emergency Preparedness (safety and health, Treasury Operations Center, and Continuity of Operations/Readiness), and Business Services (administrative services/budget, customer support team, and project management), along with our front office (solutions engineering and long range and capital planning). Treasury Operations has over 80 Federal employees plus contractors.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes the following:
- Preparing and briefing reports to senior leadership; AND
- Advising on and participating in, the decision-making process concerning operations; AND
- Ensuring the on-time execution of plans, and the development and implementation of policy programs; AND
- Developing business process systems that accelerate policy development and implementation.
Time in Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
