This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Region 2, located in Tarrytown, NY.
Full performance level for this position is GS-07.
This position is Inside the bargaining unit.
This is NOT a remote position. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above.

Duties
Serve as the Area Office's central point of contact on matters pertaining to OSHA program and administrative work processes.
Assist the Area Director in managing the Area Office budget and all related fiscal matters.
Coordinate Area Office procurement activities for property, equipment, supplies, and services.
Manage office supply purchases/inventories for the Area Office.
Serve as the Area Office's timekeeper, and is responsible for monitoring the Agency's time and attendance system.
Manage the reception area for the Area Office.
Serve as the Area Director's designated assistant.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
To qualify for the GS-06: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-05. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS 07 includes: Assisting leadership with tracking and submitting personnel actions to human resources or other offices; performing a variety of administrative functions such as arranging conference/meetings, greeting and directing visitors, procuring office supplies and equipment; researching and responding to questions from managers and staff regarding new or revised policies and procedures; and gathering information for leadership in regards to meetings, briefings or conferences.
To qualify for the GS-07: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-06. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS 07 includes: ensuring Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests are processed and tracked in accordance with policies and regulations; implementing policies, procedures or programs related to office management routines; acting as a liaison for the purpose of coordinating and submitting budget proposals, justifying budget reallocation, or submitting monthly budget reports; serving as the travel point of contact for the office; and reviewing non-technical materials, correspondence, documents prepared for conformance with regulations, completeness, grammar, format, and special policies.
