You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (OA) in the G-4 Logistics of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will review, research and resolve reports of non-deliveries, losses, damages, discrepancies, and computer-generated rejects. You will type letters, reports, tabulated material, memoranda, and other related documentation in either rough draft or final form. You will update databases with information provided from various sources. You will retrieve and use data to respond to issues. You will identify reasons for transaction errors and failures, and make appropriate corrections.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate one year of general experience in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying standardized supply regulations to perform a variety of technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, conducting data searches, and distributing output files. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-05: Successfully completed four years of education above high school level

GS-04: Successfully completed at least two full academic years of education above high school

OR

Combination of Experience and Education: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of general/specialized experience and education beyond high school education as described above that demonstrates my ability to perform the duties of this position. For the GS-05, only education in excess of 60 semester hours (2 years) is creditable.
