About the Position: The Medical Supply Technician will function as an administrative assistant to the Head, Materials Management Department and reports directly to the supervisor. The primary purpose of this position is co perform the duties of a medical supply technician and purchase card holder for the Government Purchase Card Program. The incumbent will manage and procure all external email procurements for medical supplies, equipment and services.

Duties

Responsible for the purchase of all medical supplies and equipment. Certify purchase card statements and the reconciliation of any disputes. Review procurement regulations; plan and recommend revisions as necessary, interpret, enforce, and maintain higher-level authority regulations. Train other supply technicians. Prepare and submits timesheets, leave requests and other payroll documentations. Maintain calendar and schedules appointments.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
• This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
