As a Human Resource Specialist at the GS-0201-13 level, you will be part of this innovative team, providing consultation to agencies around new methods to improve Federal hiring processes in all phases of the recruitment and placement process.
Duties
Serves as a consultant to agencies providing advice, guidance, and metrics on all phases of the recruitment and placement process.
Consults with agency talent teams to plan recruiting approaches for large-scale recruitment efforts within the competitive hiring process.
Advocates for policy, regulation, standard operating procedure (SOP), or statutory changes within OPM when common policy challenges are identified.
Serves in a matrixed capacity as a project manager on a variety of HR projects in support of the HX and talent teams.
Designs and develops hiring actions to meet the specific needs of agencies.
Qualifications
For the GS 13: You must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing ALL of the following duties:
Providing consultative services directly to managers and employees on all phases of the federal recruitment and placement process.
Developing standard operating procedures, job aids, and/or other adopted materials to support various recruitment and placement processes for innovative use of automated systems and technology tools.
Managing a variety of HR-related projects or initiatives, such as recruitment campaigns, hiring efforts, special studies, etc., to ensure work is completed on time and within resources committed.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.
