This position will serve as the IT Manager for Data Operations within the F-35 Lightening II Office of the Chief Information Officer with direct reporting to the F-35 Lightening II Chief Data and Software Officer.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will lead a team of data analysts, scientists, and engineers. Assigning tasks, setting goals and metrics for performance.
You will oversee and coordinate stakeholder requirements for data analysis, data visualization, automation, statistical modeling, data mining, and artificial intelligence.
You will evaluate and provide authoritative and technically accurate recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
You will create and present visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate decision-making needs.
You will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by overseeing implementation of data quality standards and governance processes.
Requirements
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT Specialist proficiency level advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Evaluates and provides authoritative and technically accurate recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
Creates and presents data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate decision-making needs.
Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by overseeing implementation of data quality standards and governance processes.
Develops new interpretations and procedures, that may extend existing procedures and result in precedents for others to follow.
Ensures appropriate and thorough handoff of visualizations, analytical models and solutions to stakeholders for sustainment.
In addition to demonstrating the above experience your resume must demonstrate the following four competencies, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
