You will serve as a Supervisory Program Analyst in the Resource Management Division within the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) at NASA Headquarters. In this position, you will oversee analysts in the execution and formulation of SMD's budget and provide expert analysis to ensure the effective use of resources in the accomplishment of SMD's strategic objectives.
Duties
Foster the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts.
Provide oversight of all flight project budget analysis, including quarterly flight project cost and schedule reports, and provide supplemental budget analysis of the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) portfolio of missions.
Provide crosscutting analysis of workforce for SMD's projects at all Centers, and engage with Centers to resolve any issues.
Provide oversight of SMD's engagement with institutional organizations and Centers regarding critical capabilities and investments.
Advise SMD management as necessary on budget and resource planning related to the achievement of strategic objectives.
Support all SMD budget formulation activities, including preparation of external budget materials and internal deliberations.
Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Leading teams to analyze and manage resources for programs and projects, including the formulation and justification of budget requests;
Collecting and analyzing data, and using this analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of programs/projects and recommending improvements to leadership;
Collaborating cross-organizationally to reach established program goals.
