The incumbent of this position serves as a Federal Project Director/Senior Project Manager responsible for the oversight of design and construction phases of major, multi-year capital asset acquisitions or improvement projects. The incumbent is responsible for successful execution within the approved project baseline (cost, schedule, and scope); serves as the single point of contact.

Duties

As a Federal Project Director you will: Prepare and presents project reports and briefings for DOE/NNSA management and HQ's staff on the status of projects, problems, recommendations, and related matters. Assure that the regulatory requirements of other governmental agencies are properly incorporated as part of the planning, design, construction, and operational criteria for the projects. Provide project capital management, including developing and executing budget requests, scheduling, prioritizing, and monitoring of contractor performance. Lead Integrated Project Team(s) which consists of members responsible for coordination and resolution of issues associated with high hazard and/or technically complex projects in the areas of budget, work prioritization and performance, health and safety, environmental compliance, and safeguards and security.

A. Degree: Engineering.
