About the Position: Incumbent performs a wide variety of administrative management duties under the general supervision of the Area Engineer.
Duties
Performs work related to the practical and technical aspects of office administration
Prepares and reviews contract modification packages to ensure completeness.
Coordinates with contractors, Resident Office, and Charleston District personnel to ensure all required actions are complete.
Establishes and maintains office technical and administrative files in accordance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Coordination with contractors may expose the incumbent to routine hazards typical of a construction site. Proper safety protocols will be observed at all times, including the use of proper protective equipment
- Must be able to lift documents or packages up to 15 lbs.

To qualify for the Administrative Support Assistant (OA), GS-0303-07, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service which includes conducting process studies and recommended solutions to problems associated with administrative functions and program operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
