Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level defined as utilizing automated financial systems to process transactions and make travel arrangements including preparing travel authorizations and vouchers;
1 full year of graduate level education; or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition); the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
equivalent combination of education and experience.
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as researching and analyzing travel and vendor payment data; and processing travel transactions in automated accounting systems;
master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Skill in budgeting and/or financial principles.
Knowledge of federal laws, regulations, and policies related to travel.
Ability to review and prepare travel authorizations and vouchers.
Knowledge of general accounting principles.
Knowledge of automated financial systems.
Skill in oral communication.
Ability to review financial data for accuracy.
