Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time* experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise on the employee relocation program and related financial activities, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines; coaching, mentoring or leading others; establishing or monitoring performance measures to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and progress of a team.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Skill in overseeing interagency agreements and contract activities; 2) Knowledge of cost analysis and financial policies, procedures, and guidelines; 3) Skill in written communication; 4) Ability to provide guidance on national and international relocation laws; 5) Skill in oral communication; 6) Ability to collaborate with stakeholders; 7) Ability to apply personnel management processes and procedures; 8) Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate staff.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
