This position is assigned to the Recreation Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department; Commander, Navy Installations command (CMC); Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX (NASCC). This position is responsible for the daily operations for the front desk, reservations and group reservation for the recreation lodging program.
Duties
Ensures security measures are maintained at all times.
Ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times.
Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude, demonstrate effective communication skills, professionally interact with guests, answering guest questions concerning vacation rental and base facilities; and provides information about local attractions.
Provides assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary.
The function of the position is to supervise all front desk operations and reservations including cashiering, reservations, and site assignments to maximize occupancy.
Supervises four or more NF-2 Front desk personnel.
The incumbent trains, instructs and supervises personnel assigned to the front desk both in the formal training setting and on-the-job training.
Plans and schedules ongoing production oriented work for all front desk personnel on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis adjusting staff levels as required to meet the workload demand.
Participates in hiring front desk staff and makes selections for positions, evaluates and counsels staff, completes performance evaluations, approves leave requests, resolves employee complaints, and recommends performance awards.
Addresses potential disciplinary and/or performance issues timely and takes appropriate, corrective actions(s) as necessary under the guidance of Human Resources.

Reviews reports from the Night Audit concerning occupancy, vacancy, all accounting system and other related areas. This includes statistical analysis, reporting procedures and analyzing audit reports to ensure accountability of personal and revenue.
Responsible for maintaining accounts, preparing statements, posting payments and charges, collecting delinquent payments, developing and implementing checks and balances to insure proper handling of accounts.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
Qualifications

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Knowledge and expertise that demonstrates principles, concepts, standards, regulations and administration related to hospitality operations.
Professional knowledge of the lodging organization, administration, policies/procedures, and supervisory practices in conducting day-to-day operations.
Knowledge of military MWR and/or NAF procurement, personnel, and funding.
Knowledge of NAF budgeting and activity level financial management.
Manage and supervise the functions of front desk operations; reservations using systems such as Epitome and Core for site restrictions; both online and call center booking; Fusebox for daily night audits and provide superior customer service to guests.
Independent judgment is required to determine the appropriate response to operational and administrative issues that arise when the General Manager or higher management is not present.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures.
Ability to work effectively with subordinates, supervisory and management officials and patrons.
Ability to operate a personal computer and perform basic word processing and spreadsheet tasks using Microsoft and site-specific software.
Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training.
Ability to perform the full-range of supervisory duties.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
