About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston Engineering & Construction Division, Construction Branch, Southern Area Office located in Corpus Christi, TX.

Duties

Formulates and monitors the annual operating budget of the area office. Monitors obligations and expenditures throughout the budget period. Tracks Area Office construction placement for current and out years. Responsible for the procurement of equipment, materials, supplies and services necessary to support the Area Office activities. Assures that property is acquired, used and disposed in accordance with guidance and regulations. Responds to phone inquiries or visitors seeking information and advice. Composes correspondence or finalizes drafts of reports, correspondence and other data assuring proper format, spelling, grammar and arrangement of material. Maintains a listing of all required reporting requirements and monitors the preparation to assure that requirements are met by the suspense date.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing data to develop a budget for an organization; AND 2) Managing travel arrangements for personnel in the organization; AND 3) Procuring supplies for an organization; AND 4) Composing reports using electronic processing software. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
