About the Position: The person in this position will be required to provide technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Duties
Determine payroll records maintenance.
Provide advice to staff in other financial management.
Reconcile accounts to prepare analyze reports.
Perform technician work in support of budget analysis.
Perform pay adjustments for personnel and their annuitants.
Maintain all types of funding documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes validating funding documents; answering accounting and financial requests in accordance with policies and procedures; resolving debt management issues pertaining to collection and questions on eligibility and applicable charges; and utilizing administrative and financial management systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
Education
