You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the SLC Comptroller of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will perform financial data entry and research using various financial programs for SLC Comptroller, Deputy Comptroller, and Site CO/XOs, as requested. You will prepare various contract, purchase financial documents for proper SLC/site budget execution. You will be the Time and Attendance Administrator (TAA) for SLC/Site civilians, ensuring proper entry/ certification bi—weekly. You will be the Defense Travel System (DTS) Approving Official for SLC/Sites ensuring J TR compliance to pass various travel audits. You will complete budget exhibits for higher level data calls.

• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

For GS-08 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of accounting, budget or other financial management systems, regulations, practices, procedures, and policies related to specific financial management functions; 2) Understanding the applications of administrative rules, regulations and procedures associated with records, reporting, processing, and keeping track of budgetary transactions. 3) Applying knowledge of reviewing financial authorizations, amendments, and vouchers to ensure compliance with current instructions, laws, regulations and directives and 4) Communicating orally to share information related to schedules, procurements, travel, payroll practices, records and reporting. For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching and applying financial regulations to ensure accurate authorization and voucher processing; 2) Performing and verifying arithmetical computations to determine financial claims and records are accurate, reviewing receipts for accuracy, and completing reports accurately and timely; 3) Creating and reviewing financial authorizations, amendments, and vouchers to ensure compliance with current instructions, laws, regulations and directives and; 4) Communicating orally to share information related to schedules, procurements, travel, payroll practices, records and reporting.
