This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Supports the SEC C3T Communication and Network Division.

Duties

Serving as an Information Technologist Specialist performing work in the configuration, administration, maintenance, testing, delivery and support of information technology (IT) systems and services. Developing new methods, approaches and procedures in the assigned specialty area(s) to improve quality assurance, find efficiencies, and improve requirements tracking. Conducting analyses, troubleshooting, and recommending resolution of issues affecting the assigned specialty area(s). Developing metrics for evaluating and/or monitors the accomplishment of IT goals and objectives. Developing, implementing, or coordinating activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore IT systems, services, and capabilities. Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of systems. Provide(s) system administration support to users and operators for windows active directory, group policy, user permissions, shared storage access, and troubleshoot any issues pertaining to these areas.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

AND In addition to the competencies, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-2) in the Federal service which includes:(1) Sustaining an operating systems environment to include Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, ESXi/VMware, and/or Solaris 10/11 system servers and/or operating systems software; (2) Developing security procedures to protect the integrity of systems, networks or data in an organization; and (3) Maintaining COMSEC networks including hardware (servers, hubs, bridges, switches, and routers) and software that allow the sharing or transmission of information.
