About the Position: Supports the SEC C3T Communication and Network Division.

Duties

Serves as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) by providing Oracle database design and development support for various systems and applications that support various government organizations. Providing technical expertise and development for performing Oracle database design (including data warehouse). Developing, optimizing and designing stored procedures using SQL and shell scripting to enhance database performance. Monitoring Oracle database performance and concurrency issues for the databases and data warehouse to ensure database functionality. Providing and developing error-handling procedures and writing scripts to automate Oracle database administrative tasks. Reviews requirements and formulates plans for operating and improving the data warehouse and application databases for all assigned systems and applications.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

Specialist experience must include: (1) Sustaining Oracle database environments to include Oracle Database 12c and 19.2, as well as Advanced and GoldenGate replication; (2) Participating in the architecture/design for various application databases or data warehouse(s); and (3) Implementing SQL and shell scripting to enhance database performance.
