About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Management Analyst at the ACS, G3/5/7 Force Management and Division in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Determine manpower requirements and develop TDA (Table of Distribution and Allowances) regarding the changing of management plans.
Organize the design and development of Command Implementation Plans regarding Manpower and Force Management.
Develop documentation uploads into SAMAS (Structure and Manpower Allocation System)/FMSWeb (Force Mangement System).
Develop operational needs statements and analyze BOIP (Basis of Issue Plan), ERVB (Equipment Review and Validation Board), and 4610-R processes for equipment changes.
Ensure readiness regarding reporting and program management throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Travel requirement is 10% or more.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain an Official US Passport.
- Requires local, long distance and overseas traveling to events such as site assistance visits (SAVs), conferences, meetings, conduct training/briefings, training opportunities, etc., within the Continental United States and overseas.
- Overseas locations include Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
- Travel to overseas location might require specific immunizations and training/certification IAW US Army South and Department of the Army Personnel Recovery policies.
- Incumbent must comply with DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, US Southern Command, US Army South, JTFs, and US MILGRP requirements for entry into and operations in country while on TDY and/or deployed or TDY.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Identify the requirements for organizational resources to prepare justifying documentation outlining planning purposes to authorize the requirements; 2). Evaluate administrative programs regarding the allocation of equipment and manpower requirements to ensure compliance with proposed policies; 3). Assess organizational program development to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency; and 4). Conduct organizational force management or equipment studies for submission to higher headquarters for approval.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
