You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific.
Duties
You will perform or advises on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will be responsible for the formation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates.
You will be involved in the development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
You will be analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations.
You will be implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will be providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position:
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in formulation of budgets or estimates to support budgetary policies and practices.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Researching or analyzing regulatory financial information to recommend improvements and ensure budget or financial processes are correct and cost effective.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
