The position is located in the Office of Civil Rights (ACR). The incumbent serves as an Equal Opportunity Specialist on the Civil Rights Staff and is responsible for administering and implementing internal programs with a primary focus on reasonable accommodation (RA) to ensure Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations and objectives are met.
Duties
Processing and resolution of Informal Complaints, attempting to resolve them before they reach the formal complaint stage, working and communicating with diverse individuals and management officials at all levels, informing aggrieved individuals and management about the complaint process, their rights in the complaint process, and the benefits of mediation.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F / FG/GS-5-9. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: -Experience with applying the Federal EEO laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.- Experience with identifying barriers to equal employment opportunities and making technical recommendations to aid in resolving concerns.- Experience in collecting and analyzing EEO statistical data and preparing comprehensive reports.- Assist with conducting studies, organizational reviews or workforce analyses to identify systematic equal employment problems.ORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
