About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the JFHQ, Cyber, Peterson SFB, Colorado, responsible for integrating intelligence, developing Intelligence Requirements, and developing Concepts of Intelligence Operations in support of Joint and service operations.
Duties
Synchronizes Intelligence and Cyberspace Operations by developing Operations Orders, Operations Plans, Warning Orders, and Fragmentary Orders.
Develops and maintains Intelligence Plans and Concepts to support the Cyber Range of Military Operations (RMO).
Develops Intelligence Annexes, Intelligence Task Lists, Priority Intelligence Requirements, and Intelligence Requirements in support of Cyber in Future Operations, CONPLANS, and OPLANS.
Integrates intelligence, develops intelligence requirements, and develops concepts of intelligence operations in support of joint and service Cyber Operations.
Represents USCYBERCOM and subordinates during Joint Planning Groups, working groups, and Operational Planning Teams.
Represents the command at Cyberspace Joint Planning Groups, working groups, and Operational Planning Teams as the Subject Matter Expert on service, Joint, and Intelligence Community operations and capabilities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less.
- May be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management, to include movement within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Shift work, irregular tours of duty, and/or extended duty may be required. May be subject to the following rotating shifts; 0600-1500, 1400-2300, or 2200-0700. Shift differential pay is authorized.
- May be subject to no notice call-ins during non-duty hours for crisis action, contingency deployments, and other short notice operations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to the GG-12 grade level, or higher, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience developing Operations Orders, Operations Plans, Warning Orders, and Fragmentary Orders; developing and maintaining Intelligence plans and concepts; and integrating intelligence into planning activities in support of Joint Warfighter Cyberspace Operations requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
