As a Lead Administrative Specialist supporting the Administrative Support & Analysis Branch (ASAB), you will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical, human resources, administrative, and associated management support services for the organization(s) to which assigned, and you will conduct analytical studies requiring the identification and resolution of issues and problems of administrative support functions.
Duties
Leads the designated administrative team and serves as the senior technical expert and primary action officer for a broad range of human resources and administrative management support tasks.
Independently performs human resources management liaison and advisory services for an organization with human resources issues of a complex or specialized nature, recommending appropriate action and possible alternatives.
Collaborates with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) to process personnel actions, or find solutions to management problems which have an impact on the workforce.
Collects data, maintain databases that reflect the status of administrative requirements or various items of interest to management, and generate timely custom reports as required. Keep managers informed of ongoing personnel actions.
Supports the Agency/Center calls for various award nominations and makes recommendations to management concerning the disbursement of funds, ensuring Agency/Center guidelines and schedules are followed.
Reviews administrative products to ensure timely submission, proper format, adherence to criteria and responsible for keeping managers informed of changes in policy or administrative requirements and assuring management adherence.
Assists management and supervisors in determining training needs, defining and recommending training sources and requirements, and reviewing training requests.

- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Developing or maintaining various administrative databases or spreadsheets used for decision making by management;
Performing administrative functions such as events, human resources coordination, awards, training, or property administration;
Utilizing administrative systems or providing administrative functions such as implementing and applying policies and procedures.
