You will serve as a LEAD STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION ADVISOR of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.

Duties

You will be responsible for demonstrating leadership and providing oversight in the management and execution of all policies, programs, and assigned tasking as applicable to the N4Z Strategic Communications and Legislative Affairs Group. You will develop or assist with developing OPNAV N4 strategic narratives such as strategy documentation, legislative proposals, responses to congressional inquiries, and other strategic and congressional documentation as directed by the N4Z Director. You will serve as the Strategic Communications and Legislative Affairs Group Team Lead reporting directly to the N4Z Director on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). You will provide recommended courses of action including strategic communications plans.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:\ 1. Developing strategic narratives such as strategy documentation, legislative proposals, responses to congressional inquiries, and other strategic and congressional documentation 2. Developing strategic plan documentation and briefs for Flag and Senior Executive Service personnel review. 3. Proposing necessary changes in congressional legislation, policy, and regulations. 4. Planning the workload to be accomplished by team members, setting and adjusting short/long term priorities, and preparing schedules giving consideration to the difficulty and requirements of the assignments.
