This position serves as a Field Manager in a Bureau of Land Management office in Medford, OR and Klamath Falls, OR. This position provides supervision, leadership, motivation and direction to a diverse technical and administrative employees assigned to carry out the multiple use mission of the Bureau of Land Management.

Duties
As the Field Manager in this position, you will:
Provides overall program direction, execution and review of all activities within the Field Office.
Develops satisfactory resolution to complex natural resource management issues.
Conducts resource planning and management in coordination with representatives of Federal, State, tribal, and local governments, the general public, public land users, and private landowners.
Conducts resource planning and develops, executes and monitors program budgets.
Communicates effectively orally and writing with ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
Requirements

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying.
A. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing 3 or more of the following:1) overseeing resource/land management program planning or budgeting systems to accomplish established goals; 2) performing personnel management functions (i.e., employee selection, performance appraisal, employee training and development; performance awards, disciplinary actions) to effectively support organizational mission; 3) setting long and short-term priorities in relation to workload and required personnel; 4) providing direction and guidance for resource/land management programs; 5) interacting with government entities, local interest groups, or the general public to promote awareness of resource management activities.
Status merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
