You will serve as a SHIP SYSTEMS INSPECTION OPERATIONS MANAGER in the QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT, NON-NUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION, OPERATIONS BRANCH (Code 133.1) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will manage and oversee the non-nuclear ship systems inspection program.
You will function as a supervisor, SME and program manager and will be responsible for managing inspection operations, developing program procedures, technical requirements and program policies for the nonnuclear ship systems inspection program.
You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for non-nuclear inspection work.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.
You will carry out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicates support of these policies to subordinates.
You will be responsible for all matters involving non-nuclear inspections and makes recommendations/alternative considerations for cost effectiveness,
scheduling, program policies, and procedural integrity.
You will determine manpower/resource required to meet planned workload.
You will evaluate and monitor work operations and progress through personal surveillances, also communicates with project superintendents and coordinates work with supervisors of other organizations.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a project manager for non-nuclear ship systems inspection, monitoring all phases of non-nuclear inspection work operations and progress, allocating manpower and resources for planned workload, and mentoring subordinates.
