You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TEMPORARY FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT MANAGER in the Temporary Facilities and Equipment Manager (Code 900F.1) Production Facilities and Equipment Manager (Code 900F), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will coordinate, develop, and delegate plans and goals for the PTF/SHP program. You will develop and implement PTF/SHP policy through extensive research of shipyard, Navy, Federal, and private sector regulations, learning initiatives, developments, and concepts. You will resolve logistical issues that arise concerning identification of appropriate facilities, use of such facilities, and the acquisition of the temporary facilities, material, equipment, and tools necessary to achieve program operations. You will plan and assign work for subordinate personnel, schedule, and establish priorities for such work.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing changes in the PTF/SHP programs, evaluating new technological developments, making decisions on the effectiveness and potential impact of the developments, and taking action to resolve conflicts. Experience managing the maintenance of industrial facility equipment and initiating funding and procurement. Experience coordinating and planning the installation, relocation, removal, inspections, and adjustments of machine tools and shop equipment. Experience resolving logistical issues that arise concerning identification of appropriate facilities, material, equipment and tools necessary to achieve program operation. Experience planning and assigning work for subordinate personnel, schedules, and establishing priorities for such work.
