The Directed Energy Directorate Special Projects Section (AFRL/RDOST), is accepting applications for the position of DO-2210-II, Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Information System Security Manager for the Special Projects Information Technology and Information Assurance Section.

Ensures program is securing, guarding, shielding, protecting, and preserving national level security information.
Establishes and publishes policy to manage the information security program, providing advice and guidance.
Reviews, analyzes, validates certification and accreditation (C&A) packages; to include Assessment & Authorization (A&A) packages.
Develops and maintains IT security documentation, including security plan, risk assessment, incident response plan and contingency operations.
Ensures timely review and accreditation of all operational networks to ensure continued operations without security shortfalls.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Qualification Standards IOR for Information Technology Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A). Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks), or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement specialized experience, at the next to lower grade DO-01 (GS-11), or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience that includes IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as well as experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
