Serves as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist for the Service Area.

Duties

The incumbent serves as an Equal Employment Specialist on the Civil Rights Staff and is responsible for administering and implementing internal programs to ensure Civil Rights and EEO regulations and objectives are met, under the limited direction of a manager or more experienced professional. The employee is an advisor to managers, supervisors and employees within a region or service area on a full range of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs, applying experience and advanced knowledge of Federal EEO laws, regulations, departmental and Agency orders, management directives, executive orders, and court decisions. Typical assignments may include tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; providing guidance to less-experienced professionals in day-to-day operations; identifying, analyzing, and recommending solutions for complex/difficult problems; and recommending improvements to systems and processes.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Interviews may be conducted.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the H band (FG/GS-12), you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the FV-G (FG/GS-11) level.Specialized experience is: Gathering, analyzing and evaluating information in order to identify EEO problems and develop resolution-based recommendations or action plans.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully.
