About the Position: Serves as the Logistics Management Specialist to the Maintenance Branch, Strategic Readiness Division in the Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) located in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Perform logistics management functions involving planning, coordinating, evaluating, and integrating logistics actions required to support customers, logistics missions/programs, or logistics processes.
Identify maintenance and readiness support required in developing recommendations which provide logistics readiness/deployment support for numerous activities.
Recommend resource requirements needed to develop and sustain systems that ensure mission requirements are accomplished.
Performs analyses to develop statistical information in order to identify adverse trends and problems in the logistics arena.
Perform in the development and sustainment of automated Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs), such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), the Global Combat Support System with regards to managing maintenance and readiness data.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing maintenance and readiness logistics management functions that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support specified missions or programs; assist in the development of automated data and analysis systems; and formulating organization guidance on executing operational procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
