This Senior-Level (SL) position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards. About the Office of Air and Radiation.
This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.
Duties
This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS). OAQPS conducts a wide range of regulatory programs and projects involving air pollution. OAQPS is the National Program Office for implementing major parts of the Clean Air Act, including setting of the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), implementing the NAAQS program (including NSR and Title V permitting), setting stationary source standards for both criteria and hazardous air pollutants and implementing the regional haze program. OAQPS has one of the highest regulatory workloads across the entire federal government and must meet statutory and judicial deadlines as well as other Administrator priorities.

Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for this SL position, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-15 level defined as providing advice and solutions to senior level management on reducing air pollutants from energy production facilities; providing advice and recommendations to senior level management related to the Clean Air Act's (specifically parts 110, 111, and 112) regulations; and collaborating with internal and/or external partners on air pollution reduction strategies.

Technical Qualifications (TQs) - Mandatory for all applicants - Failure to address these factors individually within a limit of two (2) pages per factor will result in your application being disqualified.TQ 1 - Demonstrated experience implementing requirements of the Clean Air Act and related regulations to reduce air pollution from major stationary sources, including criteria pollutants, hazardous air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions.
TQ 2 - Demonstrated experience collaborating with professional associations, government agencies, non-governmental and international agencies, members of the Congress, and the general public on a broad range of national air quality programs.
TQ 3 - Demonstrated experience developing and/or applying policies to address new and emerging air pollution matters related to public health and the environment.
