This National Guard position is for a HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY) - Title 32, Position Description Number D2009000 and is part of the WI JFHQ G1, Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Duties
This position serves as a Human Resource Specialist in the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Management Team (AMT) with primary focus on management and sustainment of the Full Time Support (FTS) Title 32 Army Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) programs. This position provides supervision and support for AGR program recruitment and placement, military compatibility, benefits and entitlements, retirements, separations, reduction-in-force, and resource allocation. Accomplishes work through the personal knowledge and use of a variety of automated personnel systems and programs. Serves as an advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) program.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0201-09 level, applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs.
